Craig grew up just outside Charters Towers and attended Mt Carmel College as a boarder. In his senior year he met Bec and the rest, as they say, is history.
He started WillAvago in 2018 after battling with Chinee Apple on his land. He was cutting and poisoning manually and felt there had to be an easier and more cost effective way.
He researched and found a solution in the US and imported just the second machine of its kind into Australia. As the business has grown, Craig has added more attachments to the machine.
Craig says, "The best part about the job is that you get to see people's reactions when they see how their land looks when it is free of pests and they regain their usable land again."
Bec and Craig have three young boys who attend the same school where their parents met - Columba Catholic College, where Bec also works.
Craig doesn't have much time off, but when he does, he likes having friends over for a BBQ or heading off with the family in their caravan.
