Meet the owner of Heritage Floors
Alan Silverwood
Alan moved to Charters Towers from Cairns with his wife and bought an old Queenslander on Hodgkinson Street.
Alan started Heritage Floors in 1992, meaning he has been sanding floors in the area for almost 30 years so he's earned the right to consider himself a bit of an expert. His knowledge of timbers and finishes is impressive.
He is a fully licensed trade contractor floor finishing specialist and his customers are spread all over North Queensland, from restaurants on Hamilton Island, to Kuranda, and northern cattle stations.
If Alan looks a bit familiar, it might be because he also runs The Miner's Cottage.
