Sam grew up on a property just outside Charters Towers and attended boarding school at All Soul's and St Gabriel's College.
He was interested in the electrical industry and was able to do an electrical apprenticeship with a well known electrical business in town. Once completed, he decided to give it a go on his own and started Knuth Contracting & Electrical in 2018.
Sam likes that there is a very wide range of electrical work. "Everyday you’re at work is never the same as yesterday. Every job has its own differences and challenges and it's a great feeling of accomplishment when completing a difficult job. My favourite part of my job is seeing a satisfied customer when you complete their new dream house/renovation, or installing an air conditioner to beat the summer heat, or just simply installing a new light to brighten up their house."
If he's not on the job site, you'll find Sam fishing, playing rugby union or having a round of golf.
