Tors Drive In

The Tors Drive In is one of the oldest drive-in theatres in Queensland, and has been open continuously since 1966. It offers an affordable way to take the family to the movies with adult tickets just $8.50. Please note, the drive in is cash only and you are encouraged to purchase your dinner from the canteen to support this small business.

The Venus Battery was opened in July 1872, the same year that gold was discovered in Charters Towers. It was the first custom mill to be operated on behalf of the public in Charters Towers. Extensive restoration work has been carried out and now the mill operates as a tourist attraction.
